The Day Before Our Reward

I was so excited for the day before the marathon to get here. I was so ready to run this race we had been training so hard for and to see what my body was capable of. The best thing about the day was getting to spend it with my fellow fishies. I really love these girls. They are so much fun to hang out with and we always have a blast. We drove down to St. George to the Expo and I was amazed by the expo. It was a runners heaven. A conventions center full of running stuff. I bought this cool stick thing that you roll on your muscles to massage them, a magnetic pouch to run with and a 26.2 phone case. I could have spent a fortune. We got a fun picture taken of us "running across the finish line".
I got emotional when we picked up our packets. My bib number even said my name. It was all so surreal.

Seriously.. we were so excited about getting our numbers and our bibs having our name on them...  Our names!!!  with St. george martahon accross the top!!!

After the expo we met the Shakespear's for dinner at the Pasta Factory and it was so yummy.

We had some good laughs at dinner and we were geting motivational, inspirtational and non related texts from family and friends..  ha ha  The Doc sent me a scripture.  gotta love that!!  I did, but just so him!

I was so bloated from carbo loading and my stomach was really bothering me all day. It was miserable. After that we went headed up to the cabin. It was cool to drive the course before the race. We were able to see where the uphill and downhill parts of the course were. It helped alot. We were also able to go take a pic at the start line since it would be dark in the morning when we started.

The wind was blowing and it was so cold!!  we we're like...  What the heck?  We didn't really plan for cold and windy!  We debated going down and getting warmer clothes, but we ended up just getting to the cabin.  It was hard to leave the "in service" zone..  we had to park and get in just a few more texts and snaps..  ha ha.. but we did it.  I think it was a good thing,  It let us just seattle down and relax.

We stayed at the Hafen's Cabin in Pine Valley and it was such a cute little place.
It was freezing cold and the wind was blowing like crazy. Luckily I know how to build a fire, lol!! We got settled, stretched (Becka is so flipping limber) and got ready for bed. Everyone was kinda freaking out. I was trying not to think about the marathon and just relax, but I really had some stomach issues that I sure no one appreciated the effects of those stomach problems. LOL, I know wtmi!!!

At the cabin after looking through our bags, we decided we needed motivational thoughts writen on our arm.  Ya know, so in the moment we need it most, we could look down and be inspired.  Le'ts see if I can remember what we all wrote:
Mine said,  Gotta have Heart!  Inspiring words from my husband to the football players one halftime!  (good story)
Ok...  I can't remember.
I don't really think I slept, I kept worrying that my Denali wouldn't start in the morning.  ha ha...
