The Calm before the...... REWARD

We all got together Thursday evening with some of our kids. LL made us these adorable 26.2 necklaces and decals to put on our car window and Becka made us each our own fishie cinch bag with all sorts of goodies in it.

we also placed a glitter tattoo on our calves that's said ml94jc! I asked her what her favorite number was between 1 and 26 and she said 9. We all dedicated that mile to her!!

I like how you didn't mention this Eb...  We really got together so our kids could make us signs..  Hey.  sometimes ya just have to take things into your own hands if you want them to happen.  why want it and not do anything and be disappointed.  I learned that a long time ago..  ha ha.  Their signs were so cute.

We knew her and her family would be at a certain point during the race and I could not wait to see them and hug them.. More on that later.....Friday came and we were off to the Expo, we were all pretty calm and excited.. Well Lax was nervous as all get out, but she handled herself well haha! We wondered around the Expo and got our bibs. For some reason Candi and I were registered under the Weight Division! We could not figure it out and when the guy asked us to step on the scales we about died! We thought about changing it to the normal division, but then just left us where we were. We did sneak by the guy with the scales though! There was no way in H€!! We were going step on those things after carbo loading for a few days!!
Later that evening we met up with Maryann and WJ for dinner at the Pasta factory. We had a great time with lots of laughing!! We really have created a great group of people to hang out with! We wanted to head on to the cabin and WJ had some business to take care of so we took some pictures and went on our way. We drove up the same course we would be running and it was actually very calming!! We stopped along the way and took some pictures and then we also took pictures at the starting line. It was Freezing cold and windy. We were so worried we would freeze before the race even started. We decided to just head to the cabin and get settled for the evening. We went through our bags and tried to stretch like Becka and then we read motivational quotes that we could write on our arms incase we were struggling during the race. Mine was too long so we shortened it focusing on the main words

I honestly can't tell you how many times I looked at this, but it was a lot!! I loved having it!!
The night was short and we were off to bed.... For in the morning we were Marathon bound.....
